Vanessa Kirby Is Expecting Her First Baby

Vanessa Kirby just made a fantastic entrance into motherhood — literally. The 37-year-old actress, best known for her roles in The Crown and Pieces of a Woman, revealed she’s expecting her first child during a sparkling appearance at the Fantastic Four: First Steps panel at the CCXPMX Film Festival in Mexico City on May 31.

Wearing a stunning, shimmering blue Schiaparelli gown that hugged her growing baby bump, Vanessa looked radiant as she cradled her belly on the red carpet. She completed the look with sleek black sandals and a quiet confidence that had fans buzzing with joy. Standing beside her Marvel castmates Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, she truly looked like a real-life superhero — just the maternal kind.

This will be the first child for Vanessa and her partner Paul Rabil, a retired lacrosse star and co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League. The couple went public with their romance in November 2023, when Paul posted a carousel of sweet photos on Instagram along with the heartfelt caption: “From the very minute we first met in Des Moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you ❤️.”

Though they kept things relatively low-key at first, Vanessa and Paul were first spotted together in New York City back in October 2022, sparking early romance rumors. And in April, Vanessa herself shared sun-soaked photos of their romantic vacation in the West Indies, writing, “What a beautiful time away to stop for a second to appreciate the people you most love.”

Before Paul, Vanessa dated actor Callum Turner, whom she met on the set of Queen and Country in 2014. Their relationship ended in 2020.

As for Paul, he was previously married to fellow lacrosse player Kelly Berger from 2014 to 2017.

Interestingly, Vanessa once played an expectant mother in the critically acclaimed film Pieces of a Woman, a role that earned her an Oscar nomination. But this time, the role of mom is very real, and the joy on her face makes it clear that she’s more than ready.
