Victoria Beckham’s Big Designs
After spending over a decade and a half in the fashion industry, Victoria Beckham is finally launching a line that includes pieces for plus-size women.
Beckham has long been accused of only having a fashion range for women as skinny as her. But things are going to get bigger and bolder because the fashion designer’s pieces are now available in sizes up to 18.
To cater to the demands of the curvier market, the former Posh Spice added a collection that she calls VB Body to her label, which recently experienced losses running into millions of pounds. Victoria has included 12 beautiful pieces for women of sizes 6 to 18 in different neutral colors in the hope that this new line can be the road to the brand’s recovery.
A source commended the fashion designer for finally being able to catch up and make her fashion more inclusive since all her previous fashion releases were intended only for women of specific sizes. Victoria is reportedly incredibly proud of this fashion milestone and this recent collection.
David Beckham’s petite wife has awakened to the possibility of a whole new market with this line. Although it took Victoria a while to realize this, at least she is making the first significant step toward changing things. With more women embracing their curves, it is about time that the London brand also steps up and makes clothes for women of all sizes.
The collection, available on Victoria Beckham’s official site, features a one-shoulder top, cropped cardigan, and a fitted mini-dress. These OOTDs are available in black, blush, brown, green, red-orange, and white.
The launch of the new fashion line follows the Size 6, 48-year-old Victoria’s surprising admission that being skinny is already out of fashion.
She mentioned that women today want to look healthy and curvy with boobs and a bum. Fashion is no longer restricted to being a specific size but has more to do with celebrating your identity and body. Plenty of curvier women applauded this statement coming from the most figure-conscious member of the Spice Girls.
Although this is a positive step toward modern fashion, Victoria’s husband confirms that she hasn’t changed her ways. He mentioned that for the 25 years they’ve been together, Victoria has eaten the same food: grilled fish and steamed vegetables. Anything outside that main menu is rare because she rarely deviates from these two staples.
With a broader audience now, Mrs. Beckham can hopefully recover the millions of pounds she lost in the fashion industry in 2020. Her London label struggled then and more during the pandemic. Since then, the designer has been marketing her clothes by flaunting them on social media.
For instance, she modeled the new VB Body mini dress in blush on Instagram, claiming that she could live in the dress for the entire summer.
