Whoopi Goldberg Sets The Record Straight: Never Been Behind Bars!
Whoopi Goldberg brought a wave of laughter and clarity to the latest episode of The View. The 68-year-old comedian and EGOT winner, emphatically declared that despite her witty comment during the show, she has never been an inmate.
In a moment of jest, she quipped, “Don’t get it twisted, I’m a humorist. So stop looking it up, ’cause that’s what I know is happening. ‘When was she in jail?’ You’ll be looking until the cows come home, honey!”
Her humorous remarks not only entertained the audience but also left her co-hosts, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, in fits of laughter. The jovial banter unfolded during a segment called “Drop the Topic,” where the hosts grappled with a challenging question: “Would you rather hike the Appalachian Trail solo or spend six months in jail?”
While Whoopi initially remained silent, her unexpected response stunned her colleagues. “Well… I’ve done both,” she deadpanned, sparking curiosity and prompting Joy to inquire about her alleged time behind bars.
However, the TV personality remained elusive, asserting, “Doesn’t matter, does it? I’ll tell you about it.”
Amidst the confusion and amusement, she deftly redirected the conversation back to the original topic.
Whoopi’s quick wit and comedic timing shone as she steered the discussion toward a lighthearted topic involving a woman’s preference for “vanilla sex.”
“Well, you gave up a fairly good topic to talk about this. The other topic was about the man and the woman, the woman says she doesn’t like the kind of sex that her husband [has with her.] She calls it ‘vanilla sex.’ I said, ‘Well what kind of stuff are you looking for?’ They did not have an answer for that!” she stated.
Offering sage advice, she humorously suggested alternative solutions, leaving the audience in stitches.
In her words, “She should’ve just gotten herself something she could put a battery in. Put some google eyes in it and talk to it and let it say whatever it needs to say — Yes, no, yes, no.”
