Adam Levine–Will She Be Loved?
The Maroon 5 frontman has recently been accused of cheating on his pregnant wife by multiple women. It all began when influencer Sumner Stroh posted a TikTok video, which has now racked up over 24 million views, claiming that she had an affair with Adam Levine which lasted around a year.
She took note of the power dynamic that came into play when someone with much more social status than her allegedly began flirting with her via Instagram (her video was complete with screenshots of their messages). Not only were the messages full of him showering her with compliments, but they show him asking her if he can name his unborn child after her.
Stroh claimed that she didn’t want to make this public information, but felt the need to after her friends threatened to do so themselves. After the video went viral, Levine came forward with a statement. “I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in any kind of flirtatious manner,” he said in an Instagram story. He admits that he crossed a line, but denies cheating on his wife, whom he is now expecting his third child with.
While Levine came forward with a statement after the video went viral, so did other women who had similar stories to Stroh. Four more women have since come forward with allegations of Levine behaving inappropriately towards them, considering the fact that he’s married. One of whom, Alyson Rose, says they began talking about tattoos and as their relationship progressed, she began to feel guilty.
In his DMs with Alyson Rose, Levine said, “I have 2 kids I’m over it and it sucks now.” Like Stroh, Ms. Rose had all the screenshots to back up her claims. Another young girl with similar claims, Ashley Russell, who was 20 years old at the time, said he would message her almost every day, and didn’t stop until she brought up his marriage and told him he would get caught talking to other girls.
Another allegation came from his former yoga teacher, Alanna Zebel. She had a boyfriend at the time, who saw Levine’s message to her. Zebel’s then-boyfriend didn’t treat her properly, which she says Levine knew. She assumed it was intended for Levine’s girlfriend, and asked for clarification, to which he didn’t respond. Due to his lack of response, Zebel’s boyfriend snapped her wrist, assuming that she was cheating on him.
She’s made it clear that the actions of her boyfriend were not the fault of Adam Levine, but he never apologized to her for treating her the way he did during such a delicate time. Along with saying Levine treated her “like trash,” she wants this to be a learning moment for Levine to be a better role model. “Don’t treat women like they are disposable, and for God’s sake please be a role model for your young girls,” she told The Daily Mail.
Whether or not any of these Instagram messages ever progressed past Instagram is unclear, and likely will remain that way.
