Ali Krieger Confirms New Romance With Jen Beattie After Ashlyn Harris Split
After a year of personal challenges, soccer star Ali Krieger has stepped into a new chapter of her life — this time with a fresh spark of romance. The 40-year-old retired athlete recently confirmed her relationship with Scottish soccer player Jen Beattie, 33, sharing their love story with fans through sweet Instagram posts.
On Thanksgiving, Jen posted a heartwarming photo of the couple laughing over glasses of red wine, captioning it, “Thankful for you. Happy Thanksgiving my love @alikrieger ❤️.”
Ali quickly responded with her own Instagram Story, sharing the photo and writing, “You have no idea.. ❤️❤️❤️.”
This public reveal comes months after Ali hinted at a new relationship during a July appearance on the She Pivots podcast. At the time, she shared that she was seeing someone special but chose to keep their identity private. “I’m dating a wonderful person right now, who I really, really like. I’m, you know, so grateful that we met,” she said.
Ali explained that she took time to process her emotions after her marriage to Ashlyn Harris ended. Ashlyn, 39, filed for divorce in September 2023 after nearly four years of marriage. The former couple shares two children, daughter Sloane and son Ocean. Ali emphasized the importance of healing before moving forward, saying, “I think, now, eight, nine months down the road has given me time to grieve, and to sort through all those feelings.”
While Ali is embracing her new romance, her ex-wife has also moved on, dating actress Sophia Bush. Meanwhile, Jen, who has played for Arsenal in the English Premier League, has had her share of high-profile relationships too. She previously dated Love Island: U.K. winner Amber Gill, who spoke about their relationship earlier this year, saying, “I just enjoy what I do now, I’m having fun, I’m in a good relationship and that’s all I care about.”
