And They’ve Tied The knot… Again! Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck’s $8.9M Plantation Wedding
Hollywood celebrities Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez tied the knot for the second time in a beautiful wedding ceremony last Saturday, but this time with their families, friends, and fellow A-list celebrity friends in the actor’s $8.9 million Georgia plantation mansion. They first exchanged vows in a secret wedding ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16.
This happy reunion for the couple comes 20 years after their first relationship and engagement in 2002. They later broke off the engagement, citing exaggerated media attention as the reason for the split.
Their long-awaited Georgia wedding included most of their families and friends, with their children from previous marriages supporting them. Popularly nicknamed “Bennifer,” the couple was dressed to impress and wowed their guests. Lopez turned heads in a beautiful Ralph Lauren couture gown. Affleck was equally dashing in his black and white tuxedo.
Ben Affleck shares three children with Daredevil actress Jennifer Garner, Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Sam, 11. JLO shares twins Emme and Max, 14, with Marc Anthony. All five children walked the newlyweds down the aisle.
Notable guests at the wedding included close friends of the couple, with Ben’s longtime friend Matt Damon leading the guest list. Affleck and Damon won the Oscar together for the film Good Will Hunting.
Damon was accompanied by his wife, Luciana Barroso. Matt and Luciano landed in style at the nearby airfield via a private jet.
Actor Jason Mewes and Director Kevin Smith also attended the festivities. Smith brought along his wife, Jennifer Schwalbach. Other celebrities were also in attendance, including Jane Fonda, George Clooney, Jimmy Kimmel, and Renée Zellweger.
Despite the star-studded affair, some people were missing from the lavish celebrations. Casey Affleck, Ben’s younger brother, missed the get-together due to parental responsibilities at home. Casey co-parents his sons, Indiana and Atticus, with ex-wife Summer Phoenix.
Jennifer Garner also gave the wedding a miss. Although Garner and Affleck remain close friends after the divorce and co-parent their children, Garner could not attend as she was filming in Texas.
Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husbands, Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony, were also not seen.
After the ceremony, the happily married couple led their guests to the estate’s Oyster House for the wedding reception. The 87-acre property had exceptionally high security before the nuptials, with enormous security gates installed at the end of the road just a few weeks ago.
A police car was also seen last Saturday at the gates while the guards diligently handed out the wristbands to the guests, having their identities accounted for and compared against the master production database. Additionally, security boats were deployed to patrol the river behind the property.
The permit for the fireworks display was also stealthily secured, and wedding bells were installed on the property ahead of the much anticipated evening nuptials.
Lopez had requested that the event’s theme be all-white to achieve that sophisticated and elegant Georgia ambiance, which it certainly did.
