Bunnie Xo And Jelly Roll Celebrate 8 Years Of Love With Heartfelt Tributes
Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll are celebrating a milestone in their love story that’s as heartwarming as it is inspiring. On August 31, Bunnie took to Instagram to honor their eighth wedding anniversary with a heartfelt tribute to her husband, the singer and rapper known for hits like Save Me.
Bunnie, 44, started her post by sharing the exact number of months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds she’s spent with Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord.
“That’s how long I’ve called you mine,” she wrote, reflecting on the profound impact Jelly has had on her life.
“Thank you for cutting your fingers on all of my jagged edges. Without you, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today.”
She didn’t stop there, as she added a bit of humor to her tribute, acknowledging the mutual support they’ve given each other over the years. “People always talk about how much I’ve helped you, but I don’t think they realize it was an even trade. 8 years J baby, you’re now officially the longest relationship I’ve ever been in. Not sure if we should congratulate you or be concerned that you’ve survived.”
Bunnie’s post, filled with love and gratitude, ended with a promise: “I loved you then, I love you now & I’ll love you forever. Happy Anniversary sweet thang!”
She invited her followers to swipe through photos from their 2016 wedding, where it all began.
The couple’s love story tells a tale of spontaneity and deep connection. Bunnie and Jelly first met in 2015 at one of his concerts, and just a year later, Jelly proposed onstage during a Yelawolf and Deftones show in Las Vegas.
In true Vegas style, they didn’t wait long to tie the knot. “It was Vegas, right? So it’s like 11 o’clock. They’re closing the joint down by Hard Rock [Cafe] and I’m like, ‘F— it. Let’s just go now,’” Jelly recalled. They dashed to a nearby chapel and made it official.
The couple’s bond has only grown stronger over the years. On their seventh anniversary in 2023, they returned to the same Las Vegas chapel to renew their vows, a testament to their enduring love.
Jelly, 39, also shared his feelings on Instagram, reflecting on their journey together. “8 years of marriage to my best friend, 8 years of laughing til our stomach hurts, of late-night TV shows and giggles, unconditional love and overcoming obstacles,” he wrote, adding, “But 8 years is a small candle compared to the forever that I know is OUR story.”
Jelly, a two-time Grammy nominee, took a moment to express how proud he is of Bunnie and the impact she’s making with her podcast, Dumb Blonde.
“To see the way you inspire people, especially other women, makes my heart want to explode with joy. The amount of women who come up to me and say they relate to you and love your content makes my soul smile,” he shared.
He finished his message with deep appreciation for Bunnie’s role in his life, especially in raising his 15-year-old daughter, Bailee. “Thank you for your consistency in my life. Thank you for your love and attention. Thank you for raising our daughter as your own.”
