Country Singer Payton Smith Welcomes Baby Girl With Wife Hannah

Payton Smith just dropped his most exciting project yet — fatherhood! The country singer and his wife, Hannah, are officially parents, welcoming their baby girl, Sunnie Lynn Smith, on February 12.

Sharing the big news on Instagram, the couple posted several sweet photos, including a close-up of their newborn’s peaceful little face and a black-and-white shot of their family of three leaving the hospital. “Sunnie Lynn Smith – Born 02/12/25 ☀️ 7 lb 6 oz of pure sunshine,” they wrote.

“Thank you, Jesus, for our sweet girl,” the caption read further.

Payton also couldn’t help but show off his daughter on Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of her resting on his chest. “New project dropped. Really really proud of this one ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote, proving that being a dad might just be his best gig yet.

Back in August, Payton and Hannah revealed their pregnancy news, calling it a dream come true — even if it wasn’t exactly planned. “It’s very surreal to know that we’re going to be parents,” Payton shared at the time. “It hasn’t quite kicked in for the both of us yet, but we’re super excited.”

Though the couple hadn’t even started baby prep back then, they were already imagining what life as parents would be like. “We’ve got some onesies and some baby Nike shoes,” Payton joked, adding, “We’ve still got a long way to go, but we’ve got a room in our house that we are all planned out for.”

For Hannah, starting a family was always in the cards, even if the timing was unexpected. “I think family is one of the most important things for both of us,” she said, “and we have really great parents and family members that have modeled that very well. So that’s always been something we were excited about but didn’t think it would happen this soon. But we’re excited.”
