Demi Lovato Is Head Over Heels For Fiancé Jordan “Jutes” Lutes: “I See My Future With Him”

Demi Lovato, 32, is embracing a bright future with her fiancé, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes. The pop star recently opened up about their whirlwind romance in a candid interview with Teen Vogue, revealing how their love story began and what makes their bond so special.

She confessed she was smitten the moment she met Jordan, 33, a Canadian songwriter. She “instantly had a crush,” she admitted.

Reflecting on their deep connection, Demi expressed, “I live and breathe for our connection. Everything I do, I wish I was with him. I see my future with him. I see growing old with him.”

The couple’s journey began in January 2022 when they collaborated on Demi’s song Substance. Jordan also co-wrote two other tracks on her eighth album, Holy Fvck, including Happy Ending and City of Angels. Their shared creative passion soon blossomed into something more, and they went public with their romance in August 2022. By December 2023, Jordan had proposed in what Demi’s representative described as a “personal and intimate” moment in Los Angeles.

Demi, who uses she/they pronouns, spoke about their plans for the future with Jordan, but made it clear that having children isn’t on the immediate horizon, as she is not ready to give up her alone time with Jordan. 

“I don’t even want to share their faces in pictures on Instagram when they’re born. I want them to have that anonymity… I share a lot with the world, and I just want some things to be mine,” she added.

In the interview, Demi also reflected on what truly brings her happiness now. “What makes me happy and brings me peace are the relationships in my life. I’m an introvert, but I do love to co-regulate with people that are really important to me,” she shared. “First and foremost, my fiancé, but my best friends, my family, my dogs… I value and cherish love so much in my life. It means more to me than anything because that’s truly what life is about: love.”

Jordan, for his part, seems equally devoted. He recently celebrated Demi’s birthday in August with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, sharing a collection of photos and calling her “my whole world.” In his post, Jordan praised Demi’s tenacity and kindness: “You deserve nothing but happiness and love because that’s what you give to everyone you meet. For someone that has done so much in life already, I’m always so inspired by how much you push yourself to learn new things and take on new roles…. You’re truly unstoppable, and I’m so lucky I get to watch you grow from up close.”

Demi responded to Jordan’s sweet message by saying that the best part of her birthday was “knowing that this year I get to marry my soulmate.”

With her upcoming directorial debut, Child Star, set to hit Hulu on September 17, and a love that seems to know no bounds, it looks like the actress and singer is living her best life.
