Kim Kardashian’s Ex Pete Davidson Reveals Kim Once Declined Giving Him Her Number
Pete Davidson made his debut appearance on Hulu’s The Kardashians on Thursday’s episode, and his first appearance has got people talking. The season two episode explored Pete’s and Kim Kardashian’s date night at the 2022 Met Gala when they were together.
That moment, Pete said, was nostalgic for him as the 2021’s MET was the first time he asked for Kim’s number. “Remember when I asked for your number at the last Met and you pretended that you couldn’t give it to me because you had gloves on?” the comedian and actor asked Kim.
Deciding to go down the comic route, Kim affirmed Pete’s recollection and added, “Will you ask me again this time? I don’t have gloves on.”
While he knew he got rejected that day, the former Saturday Night Live cast found Kim’s approach really sweet. To him, the excuse of having gloves on was the nicest one ever, and all he could make of it was that she knew how to “make someone feel really good about themselves.”
A year later, the then-couple had gone from not speaking on the phone to making red-carpet appearances together. Their red-carpet debut was at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Pete, however, noted in The Kardashians Thursday episode that that debut was not very ideal for him as he would rather have made his first official appearance with the mom of four at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
While this episode of The Kardashians was Pete’s first in-person appearance, Pete’s voice has since been featured on the show. His voice has been heard in previous episodes speaking with Kim on the phone. The media personality herself has spoken about her romance with Pete multiple times in the show. In an episode aired on October 13, she shared that she and Pete once had sex inspired by her grandma Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell.
“Pete and I were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend, and we were sitting in front of the fireplace, just talking for hours,” she said to MJ herself, Khloe Kardashian, and Kris Jenner. “And I was like, ‘My grandma told me that you really live life when you have sex in front of the fireplace. And so, we had sex in front of the fireplace in honor of you.”
The news of Kim and Pete’s breakup broke out months ago when sources from the pair’s camp said that they split after dating for nine months. According to the sources, the separation was due to demanding schedules and the long distance between the two. While some fans are rooting for the revival of “Kete,” it is not known whether the 42-year-old and 29-year-old will ever pick up their romance from where they left it.
