Kourtney & Travis Baby Journey
Kourtney Kardashian, who is 43 years old recently revealed in an interview with WSJ Magazine, that she is taking a break from the IVF process. Her and hubby, Travis Barker, 46, have been documenting their in vitro fertilization journey on the latest season of The Kardashians. The couple tied the knot in Italy in May and have no children together.
However, they started taking measures in the hopes of having a child to add to their big blended family. Kourtney is a mom of 3, Mason Disick, 12, Penelope Disick, 10, and Reign Disick, 7. All of whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick. Travis brought a crew to the marriage as well, he shares a son Landon Barker,18, daughter Alabama Barker, 16, and step daughter Atiana De La Hoya with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
With a new marriage and the hopes of a baby, Kourtney said this about the process, “It was a lot. I took a break to just focus on our wedding and getting married.” On the show, fans got to see Kourtney and Travis go through many different ups and downs. At one point the couple even did an Ayurvedic Panchakarma cleanse. Which involves them both giving up sex, caffeine, alcohol and sugar for five days.
Kourtney said, “It’s to reset your body. You do all of that—and it’s cleaning out [the toxins from] your tissues. And then you go into this spa and do treatments every day for four hours. Everything is very ritualistic and has a purpose, and it’s fascinating. I was doing it mostly for cleansing my body [in preparation to] hopefully have a baby.”
Even with the baby planning, the couple still finds time to spend with each other and their children. Kourtney shared, “We have family dinner once a week at home with a chef and then besides that I love to have one-on-one time with my kids. I try to either take them out to dinner or take them out to lunch. So, I probably go out four times a week. I love Travis and I love to go out to dinner, just us.”
As Kourtney steps back from IVF she still has other things in the works including a new season of The Kardashians, which premieres on Hulu on September 22 and she will also be launching a line called Lemme. Before your mind starts to wonder, it’s actually not makeup or clothing like her sisters, Kourtney’s Lemme line will be edible supplements.
Fans are looking forward to this season of The Kardashians because the world hasn’t gotten to see footage from Kourtney and Travis’ wedding. When asked if their wedding would be shown on the show. Kourtney says, “We don’t know yet,” she replied. “I have hours and hours and hours of footage. I don’t know if we’re going to keep it for home video or share it with the world.” I think she is being coy with us, but I’m going to speculate that we will get to see just enough to keep us interested.
