Marriage On The Rocks? Sylvester Stallone Gets A Tattoo Of His Wife Covered Up
Twenty-five years of marriage is an accomplishment, and not everybody reaches this milestone. But it appears there’s trouble in paradise for Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin.
It is common knowledge that Rocky has a giant tattoo of his wife on his right bicep, but the actor recently got this tattoo covered up with that of Butkus, his Bull Mastiff co-star from Rocky.
Flavin may also be dropping hints on her social media that there are challenges in their marriage, as she recently posted a picture on Instagram of her hugging her 3 daughters with Stallone captioned, “These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.”
Additionally, eagle-eyed fans also noticed that Flavin, who is 22 years old younger than the 76-year-old Stallone, has already unfollowed her spouse on Instagram.
However, Stallone’s publicist Bega insists that everything is well with the A-list couple. There are no significant problems between the two, except for a mix-up over a poor touch-up of his wife’s portrait on his bicep.
His publicist further elaborated that Stallone intended to retouch his tattoo, which is the image of his wife, but the result was unsatisfactory and beyond fixing. And to rectify it, he had to have the original image covered up with Butkus.
Bega mentioned that “Mr. Stallone loves his family” and stated that the entire family is currently filming a reality show that will air on Paramount+.
On August 7, Stallone was keen on showing off the body ink of his wife and posted a photo of it on his Instagram account. However, nine days later, Zach Perez posted a picture of himself working on the actor’s arm on his social media account.
Jennifer Flavin’s portrait had already been replaced with that of Butkus. After fans left several comments asking what happened and why Stallone changed the tattoo, Perez took down the post, leaving everyone hanging.
Stallone’s marriage with Flavin is his third, but it looks like the third is the charm because they have become the epitome of a strong marriage in Hollywood—until now.
The beginning of their relationship back in 1988 was anything but smooth. Stallone had just ended his marriage with his ex-wife Brigitte Nielson.
Stallone and Flavin, then a 20-year-old model, dated briefly at the time. He had just won the Golden Raspberry award for best actor for his movie Rambo III.
Stallone surprisingly started dating Janice Dickinson, the model who accused Stallone of being the father of her daughter. He ended things with Flavin through a sloppy letter sent through FedEx.
But the relationship with Dickinson was not meant to last either, and after their separation, the truth about the child’s paternity was proven—Stallone was not the father.
Being the playboy that he is, Stallone then got engaged to Angie Everhart. And when it failed, he returned to Flavin, who he finally married in London last May 17, 1997.
Whether this marriage too is on the rocks remains to be seen.
