Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Confirm Engagement!
Millie Bobby Brown recently took to Instagram to share news of her engagement to beau Jake Bongiovi, leaving fans thrilled!
On April 11, the 19-year-old Stranger Things star chose to reveal the news on Instagram using lyrics from Taylor Swift’s song Lovers, captioning her Instagram post with, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all.”
Millie also delighted her fans with a black-and-white photo of the couple’s happy day, where she also debuted her stunning diamond ring.
Her 20-year-old actor and beau Jake also took to Instagram to share the great news. He, however, shared more pics from their beach day, captioning them with a simple “Forever.”
April 11th marks two years of their relationship. The engagement comes as no surprise, however, since the couple’s been pretty candid about their relationship since the first rumors in the spring of 2021. Their first photographed outing together was also the same year when they were both seen strolling the streets of New York City.
Their first joint appearance at a celebrity event was in 2022 at the BAFTA Film Awards in London. And their fan-favorite appearance took place in May 2022, when the loving couple was seen twinning at the premiere of Stranger Things season four in New York City.
They’ve also penned beautiful messages for each other on Instagram on their special days.
The latest one penned by Jake for Millie’s 19th birthday on February 19, 2023, read, “Another year around the sun together happy 19th to the girl of my dreams. I love you more than words can describe. Everything about you is golden down to the core.”
Here’s one from Millie for New Year’s, “Endlessly in love with the year I’ve had! grateful for my friends, family, donkey (bernard), my doggies, my puppies teeth, and my partner for life. Here’s to another year with you and the wonderful people and animals around us, let’s do it again but better!”
Given the many social media posts and captions mentioning each other, the couple’s relationship timeline isn’t hard to map.
For fans who aren’t aware, Millie previously revealed in a WIRED interview that the two met via Instagram and had been friends before they started dating.
Since then, we know (from their online posts) that the couple has spent their New Year’s, Christmas, and more such holidays together.
Jake Bongiovi is also no stranger to public attention and has always been in the limelight due to his famous singer-songwriter father, Jon Bon Jovi. Jake himself is an actor with roles in projects like Sweethearts, Rockbottom, and PeopleTV under his belt.
Millie, however, rose to fame when she was just 12 years old for her role in Netflix’s Stranger Things. She’s also known for her role in Enola Homes, Godzilla Vs. Kong, and guest roles in shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Modern Family. Millie also has her makeup line Florence by Mills.
It suffices to say both the lovebirds have busy careers.
