Selena Gomez Is Finally Ready And Open To Dating Five Years After Justin

Selena Gomez is welcoming 2023 with an open heart and the openness to date again.

The 30-year-old actress is currently single but has previously been in relationships with Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd.

A close resource mentioned that the pop star is now open to getting into a relationship again and returning to the dating scene. The insider shared that the actress feels optimistic and is finally available to date.

In July, reports stated that Selena was not dating anybody. After her previous relationships, Selena is now said to have shifted to becoming more open to love. Still, at the same time, she is also focused on herself and her work.

Selena is in a very healthy place where she is happy and well emotionally, mentally, and physically. And by all means, this is an indication that she is ready to fall in love again.

These observations come after the Lose You To Love Me singer allegedly shared that her breakup from Justin Bieber, who she dated from 2011 on and off for almost seven years, was the best thing that happened to her. The ex-couple finally called it quits in 2018.

Recalling her experience, Selena opened up about the relationship being so public. She further explained, “I felt haunted by a past relationship that no one wanted to let go of. Then I just moved past it, and I wasn’t afraid anymore.”

Selena continued, “I feel like I had to go through the worst possible heartbreak ever and then forget everything at the drop of the hand; it was confusing. But I think that needed to happen, and ultimately, it was the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Selena reflected that her breakup with Justin was a lot more than a lost love. It paved the way for the Wizards of Waverly Place alum to learn and choose herself and her life. She hopes other people can also find that peace and grace, just like she did.

Meanwhile, Justin has long moved on after his breakup with Selena. He received plenty of backlash because he began dating model Hailey Baldwin immediately after their breakup.

Then just a month after, Justin tied the knot with 25-year-old Hailey in September 2018, and during this time, Selena suffered a mental breakdown that is associated with her lupus. She entered a treatment facility to manage her mental health condition better.

Last December 11, Selena was seen in a warm embrace with Justin Theroux during the 16th annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute at the American Museum of Natural History held in New York City. The two were previously linked, but a relationship between the two is very unlikely because Selena is close to Jennifer Aniston, Justin’s ex-wife.
