Susan Sarandon Embracing New Adventures And Possibilities In Love
Susan Sarandon, the iconic star of Thelma & Louise, isn’t ready to shut the door on romance just yet. At 77, she remains open to love and new experiences, as she shared during a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight.
“I’m open to love,” Susan said, adding, “On every level, absolutely. I wouldn’t say I’m looking for a guy to share my medicine cabinet, but I love an adventurer.”
Her openness extends to anyone who is curious and passionate, qualities she values deeply. In her words, “I’d love to, you know, [find] anybody that’s still curious and passionate, you know?”
During the premiere of her new movie, The Fabulous Four, in New York City on July 18, Susan spoke about her daughter’s recent wedding. Eva Amurri, 39, whom she shares with ex Franco Amurri, married Ian Hock in a beautiful, intimate ceremony on June 29.
“A fabulous wedding,” Susan remarked, adding, “This was her second wedding and I think it’s kind of fabulous to get married after you already have kids because they were participating and they were so happy about it.”
Reflecting on her own love life, Susan shared insights from her past relationships. She was married to Chris Sarandon from 1967 to 1979 and later dated Tim Robbins from 1988 to 2009, with whom she shares two sons, Miles and Jack. She has also dated Louis Malle and Jonathan Bricklin.
In a conversation with PEOPLE in 2021, Susan expressed her desire for a travel companion, saying, “I would like to have a travel companion, male, female — age doesn’t matter. But I would like to find someone who’s up for an adventure kind of attitude. And also, who cares about something passionately and who loves what they do, whatever that is.”
While the Oscar winner enjoys making memories with her kids, she remains hopeful about finding a romantic partner. She, however, clarifies that she is not desperate.
