Tom Holland Says Working With Zendaya Is The “Best Thing That’s Ever Happened To Me”
Tom Holland is seeing all the positives of working alongside his girlfriend, Zendaya. The 28-year-old actor opened up about their unique dynamic on the Dec. 18 episode of the Dish podcast.
Holland joked that studios are thrilled when couples like them share sets. “Studios love it — one hotel room!” he quipped, laughing with co-host Nick Grimshaw. “Separate drivers. We’re not crazy. It’s work, alright?”
But for Tom, having Zendaya by his side while working is more than just convenient — it’s comforting. “Oh God, yeah. It’s a saving grace. Best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he shared.
Tom and Zendaya, both 28, confirmed their relationship in 2021 after years of working together on the Spider-Man movies. Their next on-screen collaboration? Both stars are set to appear in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, alongside an impressive cast featuring Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong’o.
While the untitled project remains shrouded in mystery, Tom expressed his excitement. “To be perfectly honest with you, I don’t know anything about it,” he admitted during the podcast.
Going to express excitement towards the project, he added, “Everything is very, very hush-hush. I met with him, it was awesome. He kind of loosely pitched what it was and I’m sure when he’s ready he’ll announce what it is.”
As for their beloved Marvel roles, Tom also revealed that another Spider-Man sequel is on the horizon, set to begin filming in summer 2025 and expected to hit theaters in July 2026.
Beyond the projects and red carpets, Tom and Zendaya have found ways to navigate fame while keeping their relationship steady. According to him, his bond with the model “is in the spirit of being able to relate with one another on something that is very, very unique.”
The couple also gets creative with how they spend their time together. “It’s about being a little bit more organized, knowing where you want to go, and there are restaurants that have little back rooms and stuff where you can have a more private night,” Tom shared.
But he emphasized that fame isn’t something to resent. “At the end of the day, it’s no hardship. When people are recognizing you because they enjoy your work, it’s a pretty wonderful thing,” he shared.
