‘You Can’t Keep This Guy Down,’ Haley Bieber In Support Of Justin Returning To Stage
It’s been a little over a month since Justin Bieber announced the postponement of his Justice World Tour due to his painful Ramsay Hunt Syndrome diagnosis. He’s now back and kicking at the Lucca Summer Festival, with none other than supermodel wife Haley Bieber showing her support in the crowd.
The 28-year-old Canadian pop musician was diagnosed with the disease in early June. He took to Instagram to share a video of him explaining his diagnosis. It was evident that one half of his face was totally paralyzed.
“It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis. As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move,” the singer disclosed.
“This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case but obviously my body is telling me I have to slow down,” he said. The symptoms for the disease range from severe pain in the ear to vertigo.
Bieber postponed a lot of concerts in light of his condition. “I’ll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to a 100% so that I can do what I was born to do,” he added. Looks like the treatment and rest helped — he’s now performing onstage in Italy.
This news also comes after Hailey had a pretty serious health scare of her own. In March, she suffered from a small stroke due to a blood clot that traveled into her heart. Even though the couple have gone through a particularly rough time, they kept giving updates of their recovery to their fans.
Not only that, but they were able to bond with each other on a new level. They know now that they could “lean on each other” during terrifying health scares. “I think the silver lining of it, honestly, is that it brings us a lot closer, cause you’re going through this together, you’re being there for each other, you’re supporting each other,” the model told GMA.
The couple have bounced back and recovered fully. Hailey shared a video on her Instagram story of Justin’s performance, with the caption: “One thing I know for certain is you can’t keep this guy down…”
As for Justin? We think he’s never been more thankful for his good health and his fans. Here’s a moving speech he made to the audience during the show:
“Guys, I want to say thank you so much for having me back. This is my first day back. It’s so good to be here. As some of you guys know, the Justice Tour is about equality. It’s about justice for all. No matter what you look like, no matter your shape, your size, your ethnicity.”
What’s next for the Billboard chart topping singer? An official statement reads:
“Justin will set off across a run of European Festivals and continue on his international world tour performances in South America, South Africa, The Middle East, Asia, Australia & New Zealand and then back to Europe in 2023.”
