Zoë Kravitz Gushes Over Taylor Swift’s Down-to-Earth Nature After Eras Tour Concert
Zoë Kravitz has nothing but admiration for her friend Taylor Swift, and she didn’t hold back when she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on August 22. The 35-year-old actress and director shared some sweet insights into her friendship with the global superstar, revealing that even after performing in front of thousands, Taylor effortlessly switches from pop icon to a down-to-earth friend.
During the show, host Jimmy Fallon mentioned that Zoe had recently attended one of Taylor’s Eras Tour concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium with her fiancé, Channing Tatum. He asked Zoe what it was like to watch her friend perform on such a massive stage.
“It’s crazy. I mean, I’m not surprised because Taylor is scary talented at everything she does, so it’s not surprising that she’s so good,” Zoe stated.
But what really amazed her was Taylor’s ability to leave the stage behind and just be herself.
In her words: “But what is weirder to me is that after she performs for however many thousands of people, she just comes over, and we drink some wine, eat a burger, and hang out. You would just never know that she just performed at Wembley.”
Zoe went on to praise Taylor for her grounded personality, saying, “There are a lot of famous people who don’t let you forget that they’re famous. They bring Wembley home with them, if that makes sense. But Taylor really just turns into a normal person. It’s pretty crazy.”
These heartfelt comments came after Zoe watched Taylor, 34, perform her penultimate Eras concert in London on August 19. The couple was spotted enjoying the show together, with Channing even posting a sweet video on Instagram of Zoe dancing to Taylor’s music at Wembley.
“Date night with TSwift. The love is real, and Taylor is an absolute force!” Channing captioned the post.
Taylor reciprocated the admiration a few days later, praising Zoe for her work on her newly released film Blink Twice. On August 24, the Blank Space singer took to Instagram Stories to shout out Zoe’s directorial debut.
She raved about the film, calling it “incredible,” “thrilling,” and “visually stunning,” and she lauded Zoe’s “clear and bold vision.”
“I’m so blown away by what she’s accomplished here, and I can’t wait to watch everyone discover this film and this brilliant filmmaker,” she wrote, adding a trigger warning for the R-rated movie.
The friendship between Zoe and Taylor is one that has clearly grown over the years. They were first seen spending time together in London during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. In August 2023, they both attended Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff’s wedding, solidifying their close bond. Taylor has also publicly praised Zoe’s acting, particularly in The Batman, which was released in 2022.
