Khloe Kardashian Joins Mom Kris Jenner To Accept Award For Reality Show Of 2022 After Style Emergency Caused Delay

Khloe Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner can be seen in photos accepting the best reality show prize at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday. The mother-daughter duo looked stunning in coordinating outfits as they accepted the award for their series The Kardashians. However, the world almost missed this moment as Khloe was nowhere to be found when the series was announced winner of the category.

After a grand introduction by presenters Heidi Klum and Michaela Jae Rodriguez, Momager Kris rose from her table to approach the stage, but when she noticed Khloe’s absence, she tried to wait a moment for her. When the young media personality did not appear, Kris had to climb the stage without her. “Khloe was sitting next to me one second ago,” she started to tell the crowd when she spotted her daughter.

Khloe, who also won the award for reality TV star of the year, was handed the award. When Kris asked where she had been, she answered, “I was trying to fix my hair!” She then thanked their fans for the win as she said voting for the show made that possible. 

The 38-year-old spoke about the great feeling that comes with being able to live their lives in front of the TV. Kris chipped in to commend the fans for always making her and her family feel at home “no matter where we end up and wherever we land.” She then gave Hulu a shoutout for their support and seamless collaboration.

The acceptance speech ended as Khloe wished her fans a “blessed holiday,” and Kris thanked the crowd for their support.

The 38-year-old and 67-year-old’s show is a sequel to their E! show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The latest series was in the same category as competitive shows, including Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Jersey Shore: Family Vacation and Selling Sunset were also in the category.

The pair rocked backless black suits, which Kris paired with her usual short hair. Khloe’s suit came with a tag on the front with its top severely cut off to expose her back above her arms. She paired her look with her two-toned golden hair. Kris’s suit had the fabric around the shoulders removed. The deletion was substituted with puffy black tulle around the top of her arms.

Khloe later gave her fans an explanation of why she got to the stage late. “You guys, we just won People’s Choice, and I’m so grateful, but my outfit broke…The whole zipper popped open, so I am sewn into my outfit,” she explained in a video posted to her Instagram Stories after the event. 

She further explained that her styling team had to cut the stitching out when she needed to “pee.” By the time they sewed her back in and tried to fix her “disaster” of a hair, she was up for the stage.
