Emma Roberts Joins Sony’s Madame Web Star-Studded Cast
Emma Roberts has just joined the cast for Madame Web, a Marvel movie. Although all of the cast members but one have yet to be announced with a specific role, we can already tell that Madame Webb will be quite the production. The cast so far is full of well-known and well-credited actors and actresses with a solid amount of experience.
What is Madame Web about?
Madame Web is a clairvoyant who often predicts the future of superheroes. Madame Web is a mutant, typically shown as an old blind woman who is also paralyzed. She usually uses other minions and henchmen to do her bidding.
The specific plots and ideals for this movie have yet to be released, so we can only go off of what the comic books tell us.
Who stars in Madame Web?
Dakota Johnson will be playing Madame Web as the lead star in this film. Johnson is known for her lead role in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. She has been very busy recently, as she has a movie coming out in July of 2022 titled Persuasion, where she is once again the lead protagonist.
Emma Roberts has just become a part of the cast, yet her role hasn’t been announced. Roberts has starred in many movies over the span of her career, from Nancy Drew as Nancy to Nerve as Vee. Just recently, she was the protagonist in a new horror movie titled Abandoned.
Sydney Sweeney has starred in numerous shows, so it is interesting that she is now attempting to take on the movie world. She is known for her role as Cassie in HBO’s Euphoria, and has had major roles in The White Lotus and Handmaid’s Tale.
When will this movie be in theaters?
The movie is currently in pre-production, as they are finishing up the casting and filming plans. When they are ready to film, S.J. Clarkson will be directing. Clarkson has directed many Marvel productions, including the critically-acclaimed show Jessica Jones. Clarkson is also a director for Orange Is the New Black.
The film is expected to be ready for release during the summer of 2023.
