Some Fans Claim That These Actors Were Snubbed by 2022 Emmy Nominations
There are always going to be a few forgotten performances when it comes to award ceremonies. With so much content being pushed out by many different streaming platforms, it is easy for things to get lost in the crowd.
Some fans have taken to social media to discuss their disappointment and anger over Emmy nominations, and how they feel as though many actresses and actors were snubbed of an award nomination after an amazing performance.
Selena Gomez
Even though Only Murders In The Building recieved a total of 17 Emmy nominations, Selena Gomez did not receive a single nomination for her performance in the show, despite being a lead character.
It should also be noted that her co-workers Martin Short and Steve Martin both received nominations, and the three actors are the main protagonists in the show. Many fans were disappointed with the lack of nomination since Selena Gomez does not often act and will probably not have many other Emmy nomination opportunities in the near future.
Sadie Sink
Sadie Sink delivered an emotional performance in Volume 2 of Stranger Things Season 4. Fans praised Sink’s incredibly believable acting, and one of her scenes in Volume 1 was viral on social media as people talked about her outstanding performance.
Fans were predicting that Sadie Sink would receive a nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Drama, yet her name was not on the list. Since Sink has many pulling emotional scenes focused solely on her character’s inner struggles, loyal fans were outraged at this surprising snub.
The Shows That Were Also Snubbed
There were many shows that faded into the background and did not receive an Emmy nomination, despite their high ratings and reviews.
Yellowstone did not receive any nominations, even though it has been highly rated and has an ensemble cast full of talented actors and actresses. The drama follows a family of ranchers dealing with corruption and mysterious murders.
Black-ish was snubbed this year, despite already racking up a total of 24 Emmy nominations over the years. Since this was the final season of the comedy, fans were hopeful that the show would receive some kind of recognition.
