Prince Harry Reveals Prince William Hit Him Hard Because of Meghan Markle
Prince Harry has alleged in his memoir, “Spare,” that he and Prince William had a physical fight at his London home in 2019. This altercation was provoked by a disagreement between them over Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle.
These details were leaked by The Guardian as they obtained a copy of the book prior to its official release.
Prince Harry wrote that Prince William arrived at Nottingham Cottage “piping hot,” and the two princes exchanged heated words before the confrontation turned physical.
Harry claimed that his older brother grabbed him by the collar and knocked him to the ground. The force of William’s pull ripped Harry’s necklace apart. He recounted that William left after this but later returned and apologized.
Harry disclosed that William considered Meghan rude, difficult, and abrasive. He disagreed with this and called these a parroting of the media’s faulty descriptions of his wife.
In addition, Harry revealed that his brother urged him to hit him back, but Harry refused. He described that there was a “red mist” of frustration that enveloped them, which inevitably led to the fights.
Harry also wrote that he did not tell Meghan about their fight but eventually did after she noticed bruises and scratch marks on his back. Meghan, he recalled, was not angry or surprised. She was extremely sad.
Despite this, Harry intends to get along better with his brother and father. However, they did not show any willingness for reconciliation, he claimed.
Violent as this may be, this was just one of the numerous brawls between the two discussed in the book.
He explained that he is revealing all these stories as a response to alleged Buckingham Palace’s efforts to discredit him. He added that even though he tried his best not to say anything, the palace had leaked information that smeared his and his wife’s reputations.
Based on the news about the royals so far, it appears that the Royal Family does not approve of their marriage. This is confirmed by Harry’s revelation that King Charles told him that Meghan must not go to Balmoral after Queen Elizabeth died.
He acknowledged that he, too, was likely bigoted before he entered a relationship with the actress. He remarked how bigoted the British press is and that he didn’t see it before.
The couple’s resentment over their unfair treatment has culminated in their exit from the royal family. Harry and Meghan have also said that the monarchy must change.
As expected, not everyone was pleased with Harry’s tell-alls. Some have opined that there are certain things that are best kept secret within the family.
Prince Harry says that they should be given a chance to reveal the other side of the story. The royals have their own version of what happened, so they should also publicize theirs.
