Cameron Diaz Is Done With The Hollywood Drama And Won’t Do Another Movie After The Stressful Jamie Foxx Movie
There is a massive possibility that Cameron Diaz is entirely done with Hollywood and the movie-making industry. This is after a close and reliable friend shared that the Charlie’s Angels star was struggling with the super long work hours that caused the actress to be away from her husband, Benji Madden, and Raddix, their 3-year-old daughter.
Recall that Cameron officially retired and let go of her Hollywood career in 2018. Her close friend, Jamie Foxx, lured her back to do one more movie, the action-comedy Back In Action.
But the supposedly exciting comeback was tainted and thrown into turmoil earlier in the month when it was revealed that the 55-year-old Jamie had a meltdown on their UK set that eventually led to three people being fired from the project.
The same source shared that, personally, Cameron doesn’t have any issues with her friend Jamie, but after what happened, she is not likely to return to movies and would want to wrap up this current one.
The Mask actress has proven that it was right for her to retire because, although she loves making movies, she has difficulty being away from her family. The drama and confrontation—typical on movie sets—have become unbearable.
As much as Cameron loved being an actress, she loved being a mother to Raddix more, and that’s where her priorities were leading her.
Recall that Cameron left her career in 2018 so that she could spend more time with her rocker husband. A year later, they welcomed their daughter, and since then, they have made their life more private.
According to an insider, Benji has supported Cameron’s decision to do another movie, even if it means coming out of retirement and being in the spotlight. But the sudden changes did take a toll on him.
The entire family is used to being together and not being apart. Although Cameron could see her family several times while working on the project, it was different and enough for everyone.
When the insider was asked about what happened concerning Jamie’s tantrum on the set that led to an executive producer, two directors, and a driver being fired, they kept mum about the details.
Still, it confirmed that what happened caught everyone off-guard but was confident enough to ensure that the altercation didn’t cause tension between good friends Cameron and Jamie.
The insider shared, “When you are in a position of authority, sometimes you have to make decisions to let people go who do not share the same vision as you.”
Further, “Cameron is a businessperson and understands that this is necessary at times, and, honestly, Jamie is the only reason she is doing this film, and they are still very close.”
Cameron’s career, which spans over two decades, has caused her to become part of more than 40 successful movies, and at one time, she was considered the highest-paid actress in Hollywood. And after retiring, Cameron tried adding “businesswoman” to her resume after creating and launching her wine brand, Avaline.
This new business venture allowed Cameron to continue to have a creative outlet.
