Justin Theroux Discusses Public Relationships And Addresses Jennifer Aniston In Interview With Woody Harrelson
Justin Theroux has given a candid interview with Esquire, alongside White House Plumbers co-star Woody Harrelson, discussing his former relationship with Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston and a range of other hot topics.
During the interview, Justin spoke openly about the challenges of having a public relationship in Hollywood, saying that he prefers for his relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room they are in.
While he talked about his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, he said that he doesn’t talk about her publicly and that he would rather avoid the public scrutiny that comes with it.
In his words: “…I talk to Jen—I don’t talk about Jen.”
While he says he doesn’t like to talk about Jennifer, he revealed that they have a close relationship and “love each other.” According to him, the separation was not dramatic and they occasionally get to celebrate birthdays and holidays together.
The 51-year-old also cleared up the outlandish rumor that he sleeps naked on planes, saying that it was born from him being “essentially naked on an airplane, but not really naked.”
Harrelson, on the other hand, opened up about his “insane coincidences” that drove him to call for a DNA test to determine if he and best pal McConaughey are actually biological brothers. He explained the backstory of the theory, saying that McConaughey’s mother had a relationship with his dad right around the time he was conceived.
The interview eventually veered into politics, with Justin describing himself as not terribly political and Woody describing himself as somewhere between an anarchist and a libertarian, blasting both sides of the political aisle in the process.
Theroux also talked about his father, who was a writer and an editor at The Washington Post, and how growing up in Washington D.C. gave him a unique perspective on the inner workings of government. He explained that living and growing up in D.C., you realize that these are just government workers who are pulling small levers, and it’s not a big, cool, dark room with tons of computer screens wrapping around the thing.
Finally, the actor spoke about being a supportive dad to his three daughters, saying that he wants them to do whatever makes them happy. One of his daughters works on their farm, which they named “Honeydew,” and he said that it’s important to him to instill a strong work ethic in his children.
Overall, the interview was a revealing glimpse into the lives of two Hollywood stars who are much more than just their on-screen personas.
