Sophie Turner Urges Fans to Delete Accidental Video of Her Daughter
Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner accidentally posted a video of her two-year-old daughter, Willa, on Instagram, which she has never done before. The actress then begged her fans to delete the video, as she has always been an advocate for her kids’ right to privacy. Sophie’s husband, Joe Jonas, also shares the same sentiment.
Per Daily Mail, the child was seen saying “Good morning” to the camera. However, not many were able to catch a full glimpse of the clip on her page as the mom of two took to her Instagram Story on Monday to apologize for the mistake, saying, “Earlier today I made an honest mistake accidentally posting a video of our daughter on Instagram stories.”
She further explained her reason for pulling out the video, saying that her children “deserve the right to grow up out of the public eye, to learn and grow in private.”
“If I ever were to post anything of our kids, know that it is unquestionably a mistake,” she said further.
The 27-year-old also requested anyone who has reposted the video to delete it.
Sophie has made her stance on having her children’s faces all over the internet. In 2021, she criticized the paparazzi for taking pictures of her first daughter, Willa. Saying she was “sickened” by their actions, the Dark Phoenix star respectfully asked everyone to stop following them around and trying to take pictures of Willa without her permission.
“I’m sickened, I’m disgusted, and I’m respectfully asking everyone to stop following us around and stop trying to take pictures of our daughter and especially printing them. It’s disgusting and you do not have my permission,” she stated.
Sophie and Joe are notoriously private when it comes to discussing their family and their relationship. The couple began dating in 2016 and got married in a quick wedding in Las Vegas three years later. They later had a lavish wedding ceremony in the south of France, with their famous friends and family in attendance. They welcomed Willa in July 2020, and less than two years later, Sophie announced that she was pregnant with their second child during an Elle UK interview. The couple welcomed another baby girl just two months after the interview.
Sophie has made rare remarks about motherhood, saying that the concept of family has made her an entirely much more emotional person. She said that the empathy is heightened, and the feelings about family are overflowing. While she never shies away from making remarks about motherhood, the level of her children’s privacy show how much she values the importance of keeping her family life private.
