Cat Out In The Bag! Jamie Foxx Finally Speaks Out On What His Medical Complications Were
For the first time, Jamie Foxx finally talked about his medical condition and why he was hospitalized. The Ray actor has recently provided a detailed update on his health, including his recovery three months after he was rushed to the hospital because of a medical complication.
The 55-year-old actor clarified to his fans last Friday that he is neither paralyzed nor blind, although during his three-minute recording, you can tell how emotional the American actor was.
With tears in his eyes, Jamie admitted that he went through something he didn’t believe would ever happen. He acknowledged that many people were waiting for him to provide an update on what was happening with him, but in all honesty, Jamie mentioned that he didn’t want people to see him in the state he was in back then.
The actor, who recently just got back to work and started filming a commercial, further explained that he wanted people to see him laughing and having a good time, partying and telling a joke, or as the man working in the movies or a television show. Jamie revealed that he didn’t want the public to see him with tubes connected to his body and figure out if he would survive.
Jamie, a father-of-one, revealed that he went through hell and back to survive, and even during recovery, there were potholes that he needed to get through. Throughout his ordeal, the Best Shazam host narrated how his 29-year-old daughter, Corrine, and his sister, Deondra Dixon were there for him and kept all his hospitalizations and medical ordeals as private as they could.
In the video, Jamie said, “To them, to God, to a lot of great medical people, I’m able to leave you this video. I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way, and y’all know they kept it airtight, they didn’t let nothing out, they protected me, and that’s what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these.”
During his revelation, Jamie also took the time to confirm to his fans that his eyes were working perfectly by moving them from side to side and also indicating that he was not paralyzed. And addressing his fans, Jamie said, “I just want to say I love everybody, and I love all the love that I got.”
Letting his fans get more details about what happened, the Academy Award actor, nearly choking up, mentioned that when people see him up and about, there are instances when he bursts into tears, especially when he remembers how sick he was.
The actor concluded that he is alive now because of many people and because of God and that he is definitely on his way back.
Jamie also captioned the entire video by posting, “Thank u a billion to everybody…been a long road but all the prayers, great people, and God got me through.”
