Andy Cohen Apologizes To Brandi Glanville Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations
In a recent turn of events, television personality Andy Cohen has extended an apology to former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville following accusations of sexual harassment. Brandi’s attorneys, Bryan J. Freedman and Mark Geragos, penned a letter addressed to NBCUniversal, Warner Bros, and production company Shed Media, alleging inappropriate conduct by Andy.
The letter, filed in Los Angeles and obtained by PEOPLE, details an incident from 2022 where Andy purportedly sent Brandi a video displaying intoxicated behavior and suggestive remarks. According to the letter, Andy jokingly expressed intentions to engage in intimate activities with another Bravo star while inviting Brandi to witness via Facetime.
As written in the letter, “Ms. Glanville herself has been a victim of sexual harassment at Bravo by none other than Andy Cohen. In a video sent by Mr. Cohen to Ms. Glanville in 2022, Mr. Cohen — appearing obviously inebriated — boasted of his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime.”
In response to the allegations, Andy, 55, took to social media platform X to issue an apology, clarifying that the video was intended as a joke. Despite Brandi’s apparent participation in the exchange, he acknowledged the inappropriateness of his actions and expressed remorse.
“The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize,” the talk show host wrote.
While a Bravo representative declined to comment, a source familiar with the video described its comedic nature, asserting that the context made it evident that all parties were engaged in playful banter.
Brandi’s attorneys denounced Andi’s behavior as an abuse of power, emphasizing his supervisory role over Brandi;s career during the time of the incident. They criticized the network and production companies for prioritizing profits over individuals’ well-being.
The letter also referenced an unrelated incident involving Glanville and former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo during filming for Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip. Brandi’s attorneys dismissed allegations of misconduct, stating that the purported “bathroom incident” was unfounded and insisting that she and Caroline were never alone together that evening.
