Gang Rape Scandal: Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Denies Allegations Of Sexual Assault
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is vehemently challenging accusations of gang rape dating back to 2003, asserting his innocence in the face of mounting legal battles.
In his official response filed in New York on Tuesday, the iconic music mogul categorically denies the allegations brought forth by a Jane Doe, alongside his longtime collaborator Harve Pierre and an unnamed individual. The filing obtained by PEOPLE refutes any involvement or knowledge of misconduct, labeling the claims as baseless and unsubstantiated.
Moreover, Diddy contests the authenticity of the incriminating photographs presented as evidence, casting doubt on their veracity and disputing the timing of the lawsuit. By waiting over two decades to file her complaint, he argues, the plaintiff has deprived him of the opportunity to mount a comprehensive defense, undermining the integrity of the legal process.
As written in the filing, “The context, genuineness, and/or accuracy of the photographs are disputed. Plaintiff’s decision to wait more than two decades to file her complaint has prejudiced [Combs], as he has lost the ability to defend himself fully and fairly in this action.”
“For example, some or all evidence that otherwise would have been available if the action had been promptly commenced may be unavailable, lost, or compromised,” the filing reads further.
The legal maneuvering extends to challenging the constitutionality of the Victims Gender-Motivated Violence Act, signaling Diddy’s determination to refute the allegations on all fronts.
In response to the filing, Douglas Wigdor, Jane Doe’s lawyer, condemned Diddy’s defense strategy as a desperate attempt to evade accountability.
Jane Doe’s lawsuit, filed in December, alleges disturbing accusations against Diddy, Harve, and an unnamed third individual. According to the filing, Jane Doe claims that Harve initially approached her at a lounge in Michigan and persuaded her to accompany him on a private jet to Diddy’s recording studio in New York City.
Upon arrival, Jane Doe asserts that she was coerced into consuming drugs and alcohol before being subjected to a harrowing ordeal of sexual assault. She alleges that she was viciously gang-raped “one after the other” by Diddy, Harve, and the unidentified assailant, in a horrifying sequence of events that left her traumatized.
Meanwhile, Harve maintains his innocence, affirming that he neither participated in nor witnessed any wrongdoing against the plaintiff. Bad Boy Entertainment, Diddy’s company, echoes this sentiment with a motion to dismiss, further complicating the legal proceedings.
These latest developments mark a continuation of the tumultuous legal saga surrounding Diddy, who has repeatedly dismissed the allegations as fabricated attempts to tarnish his reputation and extort financial gain.
