Blac Chyna Is Selling Her Possessions To Pay for Her Legal Bills
Blac Chyna has allegedly been selling her personal belongings to pay for her growing legal bills brought about by her custody battle with ex-partner Tyga.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Blac Chyna’s financial struggles are due to the ongoing court proceedings regarding co-parenting issues with the child they had together. Apparently, the American TV personality had asked 33-year-old Tyga for financial assistance to support their 10-year-old son King.
Based on the court documents, Blac Chyna, whose real name is Angela Renee White, has so far been able to settle her legal bills by selling her personal items to friends and family via an online consignment shop.
Though she has collected $178,000 in sales this year from selling purses, clothes, and shoes, Blac Chyna is well aware that selling her things is just a temporary solution. Eventually, she will run out of things to sell.
Blac Chyna also raised concerns that she and Tyga have been having co-parenting issues. She claims that Tyga has been interfering with the 24 hours a week she has been given to spend with their son. In addition, the socialite mentioned that Tyga has been keeping relevant information from her.
She said that her former partner refuses to speak to her and has not disclosed information like his contact details or even the address where their son is staying. Details about King’s welfare, safety, and health were also not being shared with her. Even their son’s prescription information and the location of his school are being withheld.
However, people close to the ex-couple have been refuting her complaints. One insider said that Blac Chyna is very much aware of where her son resides and that Tyga is shouldering most of their son’s daily expenses, including his private school tuition fees and medical bills.
Recall that Blac Chyna had asked Tyga to pay $125,000 to help pay for her growing accounting and legal bills. She also requested that the court provide a fixed and regular schedule that would allow her to spend time with their son without Tyga’s interference.
Based on information from The Blast, Blac Chyna, who filed for joint custody and child support, also petitioned to “determine parental relationship” against her ex-partner. She requested joint legal and physical custody of King in a July 24 court filing.
Tyga and Blac Chyna met in 2011. They dated for three years until their son, King Cairo Stevenson, was born in 2012. During that time, the two were engaged, but in 2014, they called it quits.
In the last few years, Blac Chyna has battled alcohol addiction. She celebrated one year of sobriety last September. She also has another child with Rob Kardashian, eight-year-old Dream. Despite a shared custody agreement, the celebrity isn’t often seen with her daughter. Most of Dream’s time is spent with Rob and his family, particularly Rob’s sister Khloe. In 2020, Rob sought primary custody over their daughter on the grounds that his partner at the time “snorts cocaine” and spends $600 on alcohol” each day.
