Britney Spears Reacts to Sister Jamie Lynn Complaining About Being Her Sister
Over the weekend, Britney Spears wrote a series of posts lashing out against her younger sister Jamie Lynn for claiming that being Britney’s little sister was hard.
The 41-year-old pop icon posted a lengthy and incoherent rant on Instagram against her estranged sibling, Jamie Lynn, as well as other family members.
This new family drama between the sisters began last Wednesday when 31-year-old Jamie shared an emotional confession on the premiere episode of Fox’s new reality series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
Jamie, who was also a former star but opted to stay back from the spotlight after getting pregnant in 2007 at the age of 16, broke down in tears on the show. She shared how she had to deal with self-esteem issues while growing up primarily because of being the youngest sister of Britney, who became an icon in the music industry.
The younger Spears mentioned, “Growing up, my sister became worldwide famous when I was very young. I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have anything for myself. I struggle with self-esteem all the time.”
Unfortunately, Jamie Lynn’s proclamation of “struggle” didn’t sit well with Britney, who made her feelings clear on Instagram.
Britney posted two lengthy responses to her sister’s claim, with her first post featuring a photo of a shirtless man in a barrel and then re-posting it for a second time with an image of nerve or spine injuries.
The American singer made a long rant, some of which didn’t make any sense.
She began, “Are we gonna say it was hard being my sister ???? Hmmmmmmmmmmm…. really ??? Well, this was my spa plan at Vegas as my childhood friends had their heads held high with a seat for toes and nails and a bottle of champagne for each one of them while I STOOD AT THE DOOR, not allowed to go in….”
The Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning pop icon further posted, “But bet ur bottom dollar they be gotten their entertainment from me that night !!!!! I’ve learned from the BEST… do we dare set aside our SELF CARE AND ACKNOWLEDGE a childhood friend ???? WHY no !!!!”
The Baby One More Time hitmaker lashed out at her little sister, reminding Jamie Lynn that she couldn’t even own her name for more than a decade and that she is blown away hearing all of her sister’s accusations.
Britney’s post continued, “Pssss here are pics of what nerve damage can do… which I have right side of my body and goes numb every night !!! Not a victim story or crying about it because I was never a big deal…”
Britney has always been honest about the abuses she faced during her 13-year conservatorship. She alluded to the same in her posts and talked about her father, Jamie Spears, who had conservatorship over Britney.
For Britney, there really is no comparison between what she went through and what her sister experienced.
“It honestly blows my mind the hardships you say you have had with having me as your sister,” said Britney.
