“Can She Stop Growing?” Bunnie Xo Jokes As Stepdaughter Bailee Ann Goes On First Date

The Dumb Blonde podcast host, 44, who is married to country star Jelly Roll, 40, made sure she didn’t miss the special moment. After rushing home from recording her podcast, she was right there to see Bailee Ann, 16, get ready for her first date.

Sharing the sweet moment with fans, Bunnie Xo — real name Alyssa DeFord — posted a TikTok video on February 14, capturing the excitement and nostalgia. “Can she stop growing 😭 #baileeandbunnie,” she captioned the video, where Bailee Ann confidently showed off her date-night outfit — a red cropped shirt, ripped baggy jeans, and sneakers — before giving a little twirl for approval.

Surrounded by her aunts, Bailee Ann received a round of supportive cheers. Of course, no milestone moment is complete without a little playful interrogation. The family immediately grilled her about her date, asking everything from his appearance to — half-jokingly — his social security number.

Just as Bailee Ann was about to head out, Bunnie Xo handed her some money, making it clear she hoped the teen wouldn’t have to pay for dinner. 

While embracing her role as a loving stepmom, Bunnie Xo has also been thinking about expanding her family. On the January 2 episode of her podcast, she opened up to psychic medium Sloan Bella about her desire to have a child of her own. She revealed she has suffered multiple pregnancy losses in the past but now feels emotionally ready to take that step.

“I just feel like I’ve been healing so much trauma with my parents that I finally am ready to be a parent,” she shared, adding, “Like, I’ve helped raise Bailee since she was 7, and I think that also showed me that, hey, I’m not gonna f— up a kid’s life too badly.”

She continued, “…I feel like I can do this. You know? And I just want a little piece of J and I together.”

Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, eloped in 2016. That same year, they gained primary custody of Bailee Ann, and their family grew with the addition of Jelly Roll’s son, Noah Buddy, now 8. Although the couple is protective of their children’s privacy on social media, Jelly Roll has never been shy about expressing his love and pride for them.

After his three-win sweep at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, the country singer grew emotional while speaking about Bailee Ann and how much she means to him.

“She knows the story. She knows how real it is. I’m just proud of her,” he told Entertainment Tonight. 

“I love you, Bailee Ann, so much. I thought about it the moment I walked off stage. You’ve changed my life in so many ways. But it’s just unreal. This is bigger than just a single award for us. We came from nothing,” the singer added.
