Gisele Bündchen Looks Happy And Radiant After Finally Breaking Her Silence Over Her Ex-Husband’s NFL Retirement Announcement
It is vital that you are happy with your decisions in life, and supermodel Gisele is now living without regrets. The model returned to Miami last week ahead of ex-husband Tom Brady’s announcement that he will (finally) retire from the NFL after this season.
Showing full support for the father of her children, Gisele posted a message on Tom’s Instagram post, writing that she only wishes for “only wonderful things in the next chapter of his life.”
Gisele gave her chauffeur a quick hug as he picked her up from the airport before stepping into a silver Land Rover. Recall that the model has been juggling her time between the US and Costa Rica. She has been seen doing shoots for some of the biggest brands—a testimony to Gisele’s comeback to fashion and modeling.
Gisele has indeed kept herself busy after announcing her and Tom’s divorce last year. Aside from supervising the construction of her Miami Beach home, she has made it a priority to continue being a hands-on parent to her 12-year-old Benjamin and 10-year-old while fulfilling modeling commitments.
Rumors of the world’s highest-paid supermodel model spending more time with her and her children’s jiu jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, have also been in the recent news.
7-time Super Bowl winner, Tom, announced his retirement from the sport in February 2022 and then retracted the decision. Last October, the power couple announced that they had agreed to end their 13-year marriage.
News surfaced that Tom’s reversing his decision was one of the factors that led to their divorce, which the NFL superstar described as difficult and painful. Part of Tom’s statement following their divorce was, “We wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written.”
The 42-year-old Gisele also mentioned in her statement on Instagram that she and Tom amicably finalized their divorce and further emphasized that her priority was and will always be her children. The model also shared that they will continue to co-parent their children and provide them with the attention, care, and love that they so deserved.
Tom had played 20 seasons with the New England Patriots, and even before moving to Tampa Bay in 2020, he was already a well-decorated athlete with six Super Bowl wins. He also led the Buccaneers to the championship during his first run with the team.
But this season, the Hall of Fame’s NFL player did not meet his usual exceedingly high standards. These were apparent with the footballer’s outbursts on the sidelines where at one time, he ended up throwing a tablet and his helmet out of frustration.
Tom’s sudden retirement announcement came after the Buccaneer’s Wild Card loss to the Dallas Cowboys and, overall, a failed season. Tom could have ended his career on a high note, but instead, his last football play was one of his lowest marks. What triggered Tom’s retirement is still unknown, and aside from his video, he has released no other official statement.
