Here’s Why Rebel Wilson Didn’t Have Bridesmaids At Her Wedding

Rebel Wilson had the wedding of her dreams, but it didn’t come with the traditional lineup of bridesmaids. Why? Because picking just a few people out of her wide circle of close friends felt impossible.
In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Rebel revealed that she seriously considered it, but couldn’t choose between all the amazing people in her life — especially her Pitch Perfect co-stars, affectionately known as the Bellas. “I had so many awesome choices,” she said. “How could I choose between the Bellas of Pitch Perfect, and I have so many great friends… so I thought, ‘No wedding party.’”
Instead, Rebel gave her childhood friend, Nick Hills, the special role of emcee. That way, she could still include someone meaningful without feeling guilty about leaving others out.
Rebel and Ramona Agruma tied the knot on September 28, 2024, during a romantic ceremony in Sardinia, Italy, the same place where they had their first getaway as a couple. With only 60 guests, the seaside wedding was intimate, elegant, and bursting with love. Their daughter, Royce Lillian, 2, served as the adorable flower girl.
Just two days later, Rebel posted the first glimpse of their wedding on Instagram: a sweet photo of the couple holding hands in matching white gowns, standing on a stone path by the sea. Rebel wore her hair in soft waves, while Ramona rocked a chic updo. Both carried white bouquets. Her caption read, “Married 💍 Sardinia 28.9.24.”
“It was everything we’re about: family, good friends, good food and wine, and good entertainment,” Rebel later told Vogue. Ramona added, “The Sardinian setting was so gorgeous – it wasn’t exactly the most convenient place to have a wedding, especially with not much notice for our loved ones – but it was stunning.”
Though the dreamy Sardinian ceremony was unforgettable, the couple made it official again later that year with a legal ceremony in Sydney, Australia. Rebel shared sweet moments from that day too, including cozy snaps with family and even a cameo from her grandmother.
The love story started in 2022 when the two were set up by a mutual friend. They spoke on the phone for weeks before finally meeting in person. Rebel first hinted at her “Disney Princess” in a June 2022 Instagram post, writing, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess 💗🌈💗 #loveislove.”
A few months later, in February 2023, Rebel proposed at Disneyland with full fairytale vibes.
