Jessie J Celebrates Her First Full Year As A Mom: “You Are…The Highlight Of My Year”
Jessie J is wrapping up 2024 with a heart full of gratitude as she reflects on her first complete year of motherhood. On December 31, the 36-year-old singer took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of her 19-month-old son, Sky Safir, whom she shares with her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman.
In the adorable picture, Sky can be seen on a beach wearing a Brazilian jersey, and Jessie poured her heart out in the caption. “My 2024 highlight is easy. You. My boy. When the clock struck midnight on December 31st, 2023 I was your Mum. My first full year of being your Mum.”
She continued, “Watching you blossom this year has been the most magical thing to watch. You are hands down the highlight of my year and my life. I haven’t loved anything more than I love you my angel boy. This song was playing when you came into this world. 🫶🏻🥹 Happy New year 🌎.”
Jessie has been open about her motherhood journey on social media throughout the year. Back in October, she shared a carousel of adorable family photos celebrating Sky turning 17 months old. In the caption, Jessie humorously noted Sky’s impressive height, saying, “You turned 17 months old yesterday, and everyone thinks you are 3. My tall, charming, hilarious, smart, gorgeous, strong Sky. Nothing better than waking up to you everyday, my son.”
Earlier in March, the Price Tag singer gave fans a peek into Sky’s vibrant playroom on Instagram Stories. Far from minimalist, the space is bursting with bright colors, foam mats, a life-size rainbow, and an indoor playground. Jessie joked, “I’m defo not a one-color (beige) mom. I mean, I’m beige, but not everything in my house and his play room is.”
“I mean the idea is nice but it’s just not fun to me. We like some color over here. Makes me so happy. Bright and full of personality just like our boy,” she added.
