Miley Cyrus Reveals Her 2023 Resolution Days Before The NYE Party With Dolly Parton

Miley Cyrus is just one of the many artists who hosted parties across the US to usher in the new year.

Miley led the midnight countdown during the Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party on Saturday, with Dolly Parton as her co-host. This was under the NBC network.

Ahead of the new year activities, Miley found the time to reflect and was able to decide and share what her 2023 resolution would be. The Wrecking Ball artist shared, “I guess my resolution would be — my instinct is very loud, but I’m not a great listener sometimes.”

Miley mentioned that her New Year’s resolution was significantly inspired by Dolly’s husband, Carl Thomas Dean. Further explaining, the songwriter stated that Dolly once told her that her husband said that she was not hard of hearing, she was hard of listening.

On hearing this statement, Miley came to the realization that she must listen to others as well as to herself.

Miley grew up in front of people. She rose to fame when she was just a teen as she starred in Disney’s Hannah Montana, then steadily made a name for herself as a multi-platinum recording artist. Being in the public eye also meant being vulnerable to all the hate and backlash, especially when she went into a rebellious and more adult phase in her career. Even her love life was public knowledge.

Though the 30-year-old actress and musician has hit many milestones already, Miley has turned out different in the past couple of years.

When asked if turning older made her feel different, the American songwriter said she realized that she was different, but again, there were times when she was the same old person.

Further pondering, Miley continued that her 20s were a lot of fun. She even joked that people could Google how much fun she had in her 20s, referencing leaving her innocent Disney image and releasing the party anthem We Can’t Stop, then the infamous Wrecking Ball.

And there was also the way she dressed, with the 2013 MTV VMAs being a standout. Miley had performed on stage with Robin Thicke with a nude vinyl bodysuit that was barely there.

But now that she has stepped into her 30s, Miley might be slowing down. She has been successful in almost all music genres; she’s done country, rock, folk, and pop.

With 2023 comes an exciting promise of what Miley has in store for her fans. So far, there has been no confirmation yet if she will be releasing an album or several new tracks, but something will happen.
