Liam Gallagher Confirms Oasis’ Reunion: “We’ll Still Wipe the Floor With Majority Of Bands Out There”
It’s been 15 years since Oasis last performed together, but Liam Gallagher is certain the iconic Brit rock band is ready to take on the world again. On November 10, the 52-year-old musician took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to shut down any doubts about the band’s upcoming reunion, declaring that even on their “bad day,” Oasis would still outshine most modern bands.
In a candid post, Liam responded to a question he had been asked about Oasis’ comeback: “Got asked a ridiculous question yesterday — are OASIS gonna be as good as you once were because when sone bands get back together, there not as good,” he wrote.
“I said listen here you C–T even on our bad day we’ll still wipe the floor with majority of bands out there BUMBACLART LG x,” he added.
The fiery declaration comes as Oasis, after years of feuding, prepares for a 2025 reunion tour. Despite the infamous backstage argument in 2009 that led to the band’s breakup and a long-running public feud between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, they’ve decided it’s time to reunite. And fans couldn’t be more excited.
In August, the brothers announced the highly anticipated Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, set to hit multiple stadiums across the U.K. and Ireland next summer. “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” the band said in a statement. Their Instagram post teased the return with a simple, “This is it, this is happening.”
The tour kicks off on July 4 and 5, 2025, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The band will then head to Manchester for four dates at Heaton Park on July 11, 12, 19, and 20. After that, they’ll perform at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 25, 26, and Aug. 2 and 3. The U.K. and Ireland leg will wrap up at Dublin’s Croke Park on Aug. 16 and 17.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Oasis will also be heading to North America for the first time in 16 years! After their U.K. and Ireland dates, they’ll perform at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on August 24, 2025. The band will then head to Chicago’s Soldier Field on August 28, East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium on August 31, Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl Stadium on September 6, and finish off in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros on September 12.
Additionally, Oasis fans can look forward to a special treat: a Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition of their classic album Definitely Maybe is set for release, bringing a fresh wave of nostalgia to longtime followers.
