Is Kanye Missing? The Rapper’s Former Business Manager Can’t Locate The Controversial Singer
Over the past few days, there has been strong speculation that Kanye West is lying low after a controversial year. But is he missing?
Ye’s previous business manager claimed in court that he could not serve the court documents to the troubled rapper because the rapper couldn’t be located. The documents are associated with the $4.5 million lawsuit that Kanye is facing. Kanye’s absence sparked concerns that he had gone missing.
Thomas St. John, who is taking Kanye to court due to suspected unpaid fees, advised the court that he could not find an address where he could deliver the court documents.
It can be recalled that during the December 19 filing, which was intended to extend the serving of the papers, Thomas mentioned that Kanye didn’t have a lawyer to accept the documents on his behalf. He further explained that all attempts to send the documents via mail were unsuccessful. Thomas stated that the mails were sent to three different personal addresses and all failed.
The documents were sent to Kanye’s Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and Malibu homes.
Recall that Kanye was publicly seen several days before Thomas filed the court complaint, but his sudden absence sparked rumors of his disappearance.
This allegation became viral on social media thanks to a tweet from a hip-hop commentary account named after Daily Loud. He tweeted, “Kanye West has reportedly been missing and unable to find [sic] for weeks, according to his ex-business manager.”
As of date, representatives from Thomas and Kanye’s sides have not responded to any requests for official statements or updates.
Kanye, who legally had his name changed to Ke, was spotted several times after his infamous and controversial anti-Semitic meltdown during one of Alex Jones’s Infowars podcasts on December 1.
The American rapper and designer was last seen on December 14. This can be confirmed by the photographer who spotted him while attending a church service in Los Angeles.
In his court filing request, Thomas asks for an extension until the last week of March to have the papers in the lawsuit served to Kanye. This court filing was initially filed in November, and more than a month has passed, and it has yet to progress.
Usually, plaintiffs in civil suits need to show the court that they’ve correctly advised the party or parties that they are suing. This is critical so the case can move forward.
There are instances, though, when the defendants intentionally evade this process to delay and bring the lawsuit to a standstill.
In the case of Kanye, consider that he has several properties—both known and unknown—so he may be currently staying in one of these homes. Note that he also has a ranch in Wyoming. As of now, part of Thomas’ filing includes not being able to confirm the best working address for the rapper and that even Kanye’s business address for Yeezy, LLC, appeared incorrect.
Kanye has been involved in many controversies this year, with many friends and companies dropping him as an affiliate, ambassador, and endorser. His divorce from Kim was also finalized this year, and with so many things that happened to the rapper, could it be that he is trying to find solitude somewhere?
