“I’m Gonna Apologize To Megan”: 50 Cent Makes Move To Apologize To Megan After Hearing Tory Lanez Jail Call
Rapper 50 Cent finally gained clarity after not “knowing what to think” about the story of Tory Lanez shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
The 47-year-old rapper voiced this while speaking on the Los Angeles morning show Big Boy’s Neighbourhood on Real 92.3. The rapper said he began to feel like he “should apologize to her” after he listened to the jailhouse conversation between Lanez and Megan’s one-time friend Kelsey Harris.
During the show, he said he was sorry to Megan Thee Stallion after his public statement expressing confusion and doubt about the truth of Megan’s claim of being shot by Tory Lanez, who has now been found guilty of shooting the 27-year-old American rapper.
In a clip published on Wednesday by BigBoyTV, the In da Club rapper publicly states that he was wrong in the initial position he took on the situation. He says, “I’m gonna apologize to Megan Thee Stallion, I said things, and it was because…on social media, I posted things that–when she was with Gayle [King]–she said, “Were you intimate with Tory Lanez?”
“And she said, “What?” and it was like, “No.” And I was like, “Ah, she lying.” At that point, I knew she was lying, it wouldn’t be no reason for them to be around each other. From that, it felt like she was lying to me.”
The rap star, who posted a meme that features Megan transforming into Jussie Smollett on December 17, has now said that he began to feel like he “should apologize to her” after listening to the jailhouse conversation between Lanez and Megan’s one-time friend, Kesley Harris.
50 Cent added, “That made me feel like, ‘Oh s***, now I know what happened; I’m sure that was probably what swayed people in court too.’”
In the meme 50 Cent posted last December, he likened Megan’s shooting to the Jussie Smollett Chicago attack of 2019.
However, the Canadian-born rapper Tory Lanez was found guilty on three charges — relating to the July 2020 shooting — by a Los Angeles jury on December 23.
The charges include assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Although Tory has since pleaded not guilty to all charges, the rapper will face up to 22 years in jail and is set for sentencing on January 27.
